I also recalled a few times as a young one that I really, truly, accidentally happened upon some presents my parents were hiding. There comes an age where it all clicks together. I do believe that Santa is a spirit (not a ghost,) but the holiday spirit, joy and etc. Anyone can be Santa! They just have to want to be :) Glad you made it home safely!
