Today I realized that my receipt from the drugstore was a pretty much a direct reflection of my current life situation. Here is what I bought:
- Four magazines (Time, Us Weekly, O- with Michelle Obama on the cover! and Vanity Fair)

- 5 Lean Cuisine microwave dinners (all the same kind, a frightening chicken/rice combo)

And then the emails started pouring. I got emails from people telling me that emailing him back would be wrong. I got emails telling me that I would regret never emailing back. I got emails calling me a home wrecker (which besides not being true, isn’t very original. Try harder [...]

So this week has been ridiculous. Not, “feather boa wearing, ‘oh look I found $100!’, rainbows everyday” sort of ridiculous, it’s been more like “sweet baby J, someone just kill me now so the misery ends“. See the difference?
